The 4th Annual RHAKY Cow Horse Cup returned to Lakeside Arena in Frankfort, KY November 7–9, 2025 for three days top-level ranch horse competition. Competitors from across the region came together to test their horsemanship across the rein work, herd work, and fence work — the three phases that together crown the Cow Horse Cup champion. Several competitors put in standout runs across the three phases — judges repeatedly praised the athleticism and cow sense on display.

The 2025 Dry Work Challenge once again delivered one of the most exciting all-around showcases of the weekend, bringing together riders who wanted to test their horses’ precision, consistency, and versatility without cattle. Exhibitors put forward polished, thoughtfully prepared runs across Ranch Riding, Ranchmanship, Trail, and Conformation, with every phase counting toward the final cumulative score. The result was a closely contested race from start to finish, highlighted by smooth transitions, correctness of pattern, and true ranch-type movement that set the tone for a high-quality competition.

Between the Cow Horse Cup and the Dry Work Challenge, the weekend paid out over $10,000, adding even more excitement to an already full slate of events. We also had a great turnout for the first-annual RHAKY Chili Cup, where exhibitors and spectators jumped in on the fun with a friendly chili cook-off. With every high-point division taking home either a custom buckle or a premium all-weather jacket, the prizes this year definitely set the tone for a memorable weekend.
